Honoring veterans

May 5, 2017, the Museum staff took part in city solemn meeting devoted to the 72 anniversary of the Victory. Among the audience members-veterans of the great Patriotic war was and O. F. Suvorov, who worked at the Museum for over 20 years.

Olga Feodorovna of Suvorov was born on 6 June 1917 in the village of Koshelevo vachsky district of Nizhny Novgorod region. She began her career in Murom. At the call of the Komsomol in April 1942, and volunteered to be drafted into the army at 236-th separate anti-aircraft artillery battalion (SAD), mostly female volunteers.

O. F. Suvorov took part in the protection of the railway bridge across the Oka river near Murom. She passed the roads of war from Moscow to Poland, where he met the Victory. Olga Feodorovna of Suvorov awarded medals "For military merit" and "For valorous work", order of the Patriotic War second degree, and commemorative medals.
