Seminar "Podbolochisky burial ground: 100 years of research through preservation"

December 5, 2017 in the city of Moore will host the II workshop "Podvolochisky burial ground: 100 years of research through preservation". The seminar is organized by the Institute of archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Murom historical and art Museum and "Nizhnekamskoe archaeological Bureau "Artifact".
The theme of the seminar 2017: "Antiquities of the Volga Finns mid VIII – IX century".
The second workshop focused on the discussion of the chronology of Moore and antiquities of the Volga Finns the fourth quarter of the I Millennium BC, the problem of the development of relative and absolute Dating of funerary monuments, as well as the determination reference of the burials and objects to highlight the narrow cultural-historic horizons of the Finnish antiquities of the Volga-Oka interfluve of the middle of the VIII – IX centuries. This period in the history of Finnish tribes of the Volga region is characterized by stable development of material and spiritual culture, complexity selection of a narrow cultural-chronological horizons. In the framework of the seminar it is planned to address the problem of correlation of the Finnish antiquities of the Volga-Oka interfluve with the antiquities of the Saltovo - Mayaki cultural-historical community and the place of the Finnish tribes of the Volga region in the system of relations with public entities in the region.
