Night of museums - 2017

20 may 2017 the Night of museums was held in Murom for the twelfth time. Events took place on several floors of the Museum – Exhibition centre and the Art gallery and on the street Moscow.
The action began with the opening of the photo exhibition "Moore. Freeze-frame" from the "Sentimental journey". In 2016, the project became the winner of XIII international grant competition of Museum projects "Changing Museum in changing world" of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation in the nomination "the Museum and the local community." The exhibition presents photographs of the city late XIX – early XXI century from the collection of the Murom Museum, museums-partners of the project, as well as the family archives of the residents. An important part of the exhibition memories of the inhabitants. To hear them using the mobile app izi.TRAVEL.
Another innovation was the audio guide for the city of Murau "Sentimental journey". Guide created based on the memoirs and diaries of the citizens of the early twentieth century: the inventor of television Vladimir Kozmich Zworykin, ethnographer Nikolay Gavrilovich Dobrynkina, artist Peter Ivanovich Cerebroscope, Professor Vsevolod Viktorovich Stratonov, women of ancient Murom merchant families of Nadezhda Petrovna Womenyou-Kiseleva and other residents of the city. In the recording of the audio guide was attended by activists of school museums of Murom. The audio guide was also created on the platform Izi.TRAVEL is free.
Traditionally, the Night of museums, there were concerts. The Art gallery was music of the Renaissance performed by the ensemble "Canto vivo" (Moscow), and on the street Moscow guests of the action were pleased with the jazz songs, "Rio grande band" (Moore). At the official opening of the event were congratulated citizens SS next Museum holiday, the Museum Director A. A. Anuchkin, head of Department of culture of the Okrug of Murom Vladimir Kozlov, Director of Museum programs Blagotovritelny Potanin Foundation E. I. Lapidus. After the opening of the musical program continued with performances of the rock group "Indiana project" (Moscow) and DJ and saxophonist Eugene Roslyakova (Nizhny Novgorod). Unusual guests of the festival were artists of street theatre "Plasticine rain" (Samara). They showed a performance on stilts "White dreams", which involved several young Muromtsev.
During the event, the Museum attracted 7500 visitors.
