Glass collection, stored in Murom museum has about three hundred works.
The specifics of the meeting determines that along with Russian and Western art glass are mass-produced samples. The collection has items made at Russian factories of the XVIII century with a characteristic for the time painted in gold and enamels, engravings.
Colored glass, is particularly prevalent in the last third of the XVIII century, it is represented in the museum’s collection of diverse objects, dating from the I half of the XIX century (wine glasses, vases, cups, etc.).
Of particular interest are the objects of the first third of the XIX century. made of transparent leaded glass — a novelty at that time with a diamond face. Severe forms a shimmering diamond face rimmed with gilded bronze, characteristic of the Russian Empire.
Household glass items are well represented in the interior of the museum exhibits.
